Bringing Holiday Cheer To Your Kitchen
This is the first year we really decorated for Christmas and the holidays in our kitchen. For festive holiday kitchen decor, consider incorporating small decorations on your countertops, Christmas linens, centerpieces, and wreaths or garland to windows and cabinets.

Let’s start at our kitchen island, which is a part of the what we tackled a few years ago in our kitchen renovation. For our kitchen island Christmas decor, we did a mix of live and faux greenery. We created a centerpiece at the island using an existing vase and filled it with live greenery from Trader Joes. If you haven’t yet shopped Trader Joes for flowers or greenery, you should definitely check out their selection! We finished off the island decor with Christmas linen towels hung at the end of the island, paired with festive faux greenery.

In addition, we added a few festive touches to our kitchen window and candle sconces! We wrapped the window in Afloral garland and let it drape off the sides of the window trim organically. We tied in the same red ribbon from the stairs and added bows to our brass candle sconces. Lastly, we finished it off by draping a Christmas linen towel over the sink.
Creating a Festive Coffee Bar for the Holidays
Our coffee bar is an extension of our kitchen so we have to decorate it for the holidays, too! We also renovated our coffee bar as part of our kitchen renovation project. Some of the ways we like to decorate our coffee bar for Christmas are festive mugs and glasses, garland and twinkle lights, and small pieces of holiday decor like our ceramic snowmen. You can also incorporate festive signage, a miniature tree or wreath, and more of the Christmas linens.

Because of the walnut backsplash at our coffee bar, we kept the decor here pretty simple and monochromatic. We styled the top shelf with green Christmas tree mugs and holiday-themed champagne flutes. At the lower shelf we incorporated a vintage winter storage jar and white ceramic snowmen. For wine glasses, we love these snowflake stemless wine glasses and honestly a lot of times I use these year round!
As you add holiday decor to your kitchen and coffee bar, remember that small touches can create a festive atmosphere. Simple accents and seasonal decorations will fill your kitchen with warmth, making it a joyful gathering place during the holiday season. We also have blog posts on decorating both our family room, fireplace, Christmas tree, and staircase, if you’re interested in more holiday decor ideas.
