We created a stunning DIY intaglio gallery wall using unique architectural intaglios and vintage-look gold picture frames! To achieve a classic, high-end look, we applied Roman clay to the back of the frames to mimic the texture of plaster, creating a unique backdrop for each intaglio. Large white mats added contrast, and we secured the intaglios with construction adhesive for a timeless, museum-quality finish. One of the best parts of this project is its versatility—you can easily swap out the intaglios or frames to match your personal style. We transformed our unused living room into a stunning home library! To create a custom built-in look, we used IKEA Billy bookcases and added architectural details. We painted the vinyl windows black for a bold contrast and color-drenched the entire room in a rich, moody green. To add character, we DIYed an architectural intaglio gallery wall and hung coordinating curtains. The space was completed with a center bistro table and two cozy reading chairs, making it the perfect reading nook.
